Around the world, temperature extremes are impacting major global food crops. A recent study reported in RFI calculated heat stress risk for food crop production in 20 countries, including the US, the world’s top agricultural producer.

Worsening global heatwaves pose a threat to 70 percent of the world’s agricultural and food production between now and 2045, a recent study by risk analysts Verisk Maplecroft has found.
