As we move ever closer to the collapse of the world’s systems, the question arises whether philanthropy can save us from what Joanna Macy called ‘the great unravelling’? To find out, the H & S Davidson Trust asked Alliance to conduct interviews with 10 leading foundation professionals to ask how their work was supporting systems change. Each interview was published in Alliance in the latter part of 2024. Here, we report on the main themes that emerged.
